CYSP Scholars from HSA Visit Kentucky State University for an Exciting College Experience

On a bright and inspiring day in October, 2024. CYSP (Concept Young Scholars Program) students from Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati had the incredible opportunity to visit Kent State University. This trip offered them a firsthand look at college life and a deeper understanding of the diverse programs KSU has to offer.

The day started with a campus tour, where students explored classrooms, labs, and state-of-the-art facilities. They learned about the different academic programs, from engineering to the arts, that KSU provides to help students achieve their career goals. Many CYSP students were excited to discover new possibilities for their future and were eager to ask questions about student life, majors, and scholarships.

To make the visit even more memorable, the students had the chance to watch a college football game, something that brought a lot of excitement and joy. For many, this was their first experience at a live college sports event, and they were thrilled by the energy and enthusiasm in the stadium.

Throughout the day, CYSP students were inspired not only by the educational opportunities but also by the vibrant college atmosphere. They left with a renewed motivation to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams.

This visit to Kentucky State University was more than just a fun day trip; it was an inspirational experience that opened the door to new possibilities for Horizon Science Academy’s CYSP students. They returned home excited about their future and ready to take on new challenges with the knowledge that college is within their reach.
